Game-developing publisher Wemade said it is expanding the gaming ecosystem with the upcoming launch of popular Wemix Play-hosted games on LG Smart TVs and monitors, on Wednesday.
The company said this is the first time the games hosted on Wemix Play’s gaming platform, blockchain will be made available on LG screens, marking a new milestone in Wemade’s mission to build a blockchain-based mega-ecosystem.
Taking the next step, Wemix Play and LG are planning to collaborate on providing a richer and more enjoyable gaming experience on LG screens, said the tech company. Through LG Smart TV, users will be able to download and play Anipang Match, a game developed by its subsidiary, Wemade Play, and the farming simulation game, Every Farm from Wemade Connect, the company added.
Wemade, formerly known as Wemade Entertainment, based in Seongnam, South Korea engages in the development and publication of mobile and online games and is known for its innovative blockchain technology.
With the launch of ‘MIR 4’ in 2021, the company said it was recognized as a commercially successful MMORPG that implemented blockchain technology.
Two weeks ago, Wemade partnered with Dubai International Financial Center’s (DIFC) Innovation Hub to build the Wemix play center. In addition, the gaming firm also created a $100 million investment fund to support the global Web3 game industry and nurture Wemix onboarding companies.
