Measurement and assurance tech firm Viavi Solutions appointed Ilan Daskal as chief financial on Wednesday, taking over from Pam Avent, interim CFO, effective November 7.
The company said Daskal will closely work with Oleg Khaykin, chief executive of Viavi Solutions. The light manufacturing company said this transition aims to oversee global finance organization, including finance, accounting and reporting, tax, treasury, internal audit, investor relations and information technology.
The newly appointed finance chief served at developer and manufacturing company Bio-Rad Laboratories since April 2019, in the role of CFO. Prior to which, he held various other leadership roles for about two decades in finance industry.
Pam Avent, global controller of the company was named as interim CFO after the departure of Henk Derksen, former chief financial officer. Derksen held his position since 2021 and stepped down from his role on September 30. Derksen is now heading German-based Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH as financial chief of the firm.
