Software developer Verimatrix, on Thursday, partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance scalability, availability, and user-friendliness for Verimatrix’s Streamkeeper Multi-DRM cloud-based over-the-top (OTT) content security platform.
Streamkeeper Multi-DRM is a cloud-native digital rights management (DRM) designed to protect applications, content, revenue, and multi-tenant platform which control all aspects of digital assets protection.
The platform deployed on the AWS cloud, is compatible with AWS Secure Packager and Encoder Key Exchange (SPEKE) to work seamlessly with AWS Media Services, said Verimatrix. Once deployed it leverages AWS Global Accelerator and AWS Route 53 to allow speed content consumption, provide reliability, and consistently autoscale for peak events, added the firm.
Additionally, AWS Shield, AWS WAF and AWS Key Management Service (KMS) ensures Streamkeeper Multi-DRM services enjoy powerful protections against malicious attacks, firm added.
The software firm said this collaboration aims to deploy fast on-premises solutions at a reliable and cost-effective means. Additionally, to Autoscale, on-premises environments are typically over-provisioned meaning, more computing resources are necessary for application.
Entry-level Digital rights management (DRMs) do not meet the requirements of high-end content owners so to provide higher security said the firm.
Verimatrix provides digital security where it protects digital content, applications, as well as devices with intuitive, people-centred and frictionless security. Verimatrix also specializes in secure premium movies, live streaming sports, sensitive financial, and healthcare data, to mission-critical mobile applications.
