Telecommunication firm Tata Communications partnered with global tech giant Microsoft on Wednesday, to enhance usability and security, while also making sure of regulatory compliance for MS Teams to be made available on a single platform in India.
The telecom firm’s GlobalRapide platform will enable both Indian business users as well as users abroad to engage in carrier-grade PSTN (publicly switched telephone network) voice calls on any Teams device through the Operator Connect platform, from any corner of the world.
GlobalRapide acts as a platform to carry cloud-based conversations in the most effective way and provides the best Unified Communicationa-as-a-Service (UCaaS) outcome.
Tata Communications assured GlobalRapide could deliver on greater fraud prevention capability and strict diligence to local market regulations, where it also allows businesses to securely interact and collaborate with their entire value chain across the globe.
With this advantage, Teams management will be able to provide companies with complete control and visibility and no additional hardware cost.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft on Operator Connect for Teams will further enhance workforce productivity and efficiency for enterprises, while helping them abide with the local regulations and compliance”, said Sriram Sampath, Vice President of Unified Communications & Collaboration at Tata Communications.
Shruti Bhatia, Country Head, Modern Work and Surface, India and South Asia from Microsoft stated, “This collaboration reflects our commitment to delivering greater efficiencies and productivity gains for businesses across India.”
