Skyscanner to introduce new COVID-19 travel insurance product

Skyscanner has joined hands with cover genius to launch COVID-19 travel insurance package.

The product will be rolled out first in Europe and eventually be available in fifty countries worldwide. This product will be available to prospective travelers.

 The package includes a mixture of trip cancellation, medical and airline insolvency cover, including protection against travel disruption and sickness caused by COVID-19.

This Insurance also gives 24/7 emergency medical assistance, repatriation and expenses cover, trip cancellation cover, failed temperature checks at a destination

It is built in specifically to provide clarity, protect travellers and give them peace of mind when taking a trip.

This new scheme will be offered to travelers at the point of purchase and will be available directly via Skyscanner in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands and the UK.

The Commercial director of Skyscanner Tiago Godinho said
