Energy management firm Schneider Electric said it will acquire EcoAct SAS, sustainability consultancy firm, on Tuesday. The deal completion follows consultation with the relevant employee representatives and approval from the competent regulatory authorities, said Schneider.
The firm said final negotiation regarding the deal was completed on July 3, with Atos Group. The deal value, however, was not mentioned by the companies. Schneider Electric said objective of the acquisition is to expand its global sustainability business to energy industries along with accelerating business solutions to deliver true value for both climate and clients.
The collaboration of two firm expands Schneider Electric’s capabilities to provide end-to-end solutions to lead organizations through the net zero transformation and beyond, said the company. Schneider Electric also said it will develop sustainable strategy and target setting to decarbonize across scope 1, 2 and 3 by its AI led digital and data management tools.
“Urgent climate action is at the heart of our mission, and I know we’ve found the right partner in Schneider Electric,” said Stuart Lemmon, chief executive officer of EcoAct.
Lemmon continued, “The company’s own demonstrated commitments to net zero, in its own operations and for its clients, speaks loudly in the market, and our EcoActors are excited to join together with another leading advisory team, putting climate and nature center stage to accelerate sustainable corporate transformation.”
Schneider Electric is a Digital Transformation of Energy Management and Automation firm based in Rueil Malmaison, Paris.
