Saudi Arabia gears-up with transport benefits for women
Wusool, a program for women, in the Kingdom to benefit more working women in their transportation has been updated. It is to help Saudi Arabia women in the private sector with transport cost. Wusool is backed by Saudi Human Resources Development Fund with the aim to cut cost of transportation for working women on their trips to workplaces. It empowers in the workforce throughout the Kingdom.
Wusool ensures security in working women. It has partnered with companies that are licensed by Ministry of Transport. This new mechanism helps women in providing 80 percent subsidy in cost of each trip.
A maximum of SR1,100 can be deducted from costs each month for those whose monthly salary is below SR6,000. Meanwhile, SR800 per month can be deducted for those wages ranging from SR6,001 to SR8,000 with trip limit not exceeding 60kms.

Reem Aqad, young general manager at a trading company in Jeddah tried Wusool during last year. She told that it is very helpful. If the trip costs SR50, The person ends up paying SR10. She told that the service was perfect and when asked for changes, she told that she wished it lasted longer than a year.
The program previously covered 12 months period for working women, but now the changes have expanded it to 24 months. Many women who has used this program described it as easy to use and subscribe to.
Regions covered
Wusool covers 13 regions in the Kingdom. These regions include Riyadh, Makkah, the Eastern Province, Madinah, Tabuk, Asir, Qassim, Hail, Jazan, the Nothern Borders, Najran, Al-Jawf and Al-Baha.
This program reduces the burden of transport cost for working women in Saudi by providing safety, good quality transportation services in partnership with private taxi companies through licensed application.
