Automation machinery manufacturing firm Rockwell Automation, on Monday, launched its switchboard manufacturer CUBIC across the Asia Pacific region, with an aim to expand its footprint globally.
CUBIC specializes in IEC-61439-compliant modular enclosure systems tailored for power and electrical panel construction.
The firm said the expansion looks to provide CUBIC’s product line to fast-growing industries, which primarily include renewable energy, mining, data centres, chemical, food and beverage, and infrastructure.
The company said conventional switchboards with fixed metal enclosures often integrate circuit breakers and electrical connection components within the same panelboard, where circuits are not entirely independent.
Consequently, during switchboard adjustments or maintenance, engineers face potential risks of interference with electrified circuits, compromising safety protocols and potentially causing production line interruptions, added the manufacturing company.
In late 2022, Rockwell acquired CUBIC, to expand its network for intelligent motor control offerings in Asia, Europe, and Latin America as well as broaden its market access in renewable energy and data centre solutions.
Electro-mechanics firm CUBIC was founded in 1973 in Denmark. It specializes in the production of creation of electrical panels. The firm employs a modular system for the construction of electrical panels providing tech-based solutions to the logistic industry, data centres, hospitals, power plants, and wind turbines.
