Switzerland based company Nestlé S.A, on Friday, said that Greg Behar, chief executive of Nestlé Health Science stepped down from the role and the company has appointed Anna Mohl, who is currently the head of International Business at Nestlé Health Science to succeed Behar.
Nestlé said the reason of Behar’s resignation is to pursue new opportunities outside company. He will bid farewell on December 31 and Anna Mohl will take over as CEO, effective from January 1, 2024.
Greg Behar joined Nestlé in 2014 as the chief executive of Nestlé Health Science. Later in January 2017, he was appointed to the executive board of Nestlé S.A. He worked with Nestlé Health Science for nine years and helped establish Nestlé Health Science to be prominent in nutritional health solutions, growing the company’s portfolio and expand into geographical region.
Additionally, Behar also represents Nestlé S.A. on boards of various other companies including in which Nestlé holds investments. He previously served as CEO for Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc between 2011 and 2014.
Mohl, the newly appointed CEO has served the company for more than 20 years. She joined Nestlé Health Science in 2010 leading U.S medical nutrition marketing and medical nutrition sales. Before which she was promoted to her most recent role in January 2021.
The board of Nestlé S.A. has additionally decided to promote David Rennie, head of Nestlé Coffee Brands to executive vice president, effective January 1, 2024. The company said this decision to elevate the role is a reflection of the growing strategic importance of coffee as one of Nestlé’s growth pillars.
