Musk’s Giant X Logo Goes Down After Several Complaints
Elon Musk’s X Corp, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday had its logo, the glowing X taken down, after multiple complaints from neighbours because of its disturbing lights, as reported by Reuters.
Musk renamed the social media platform X Corp from Twitter, approximately six months after acquiring the firm on a $44 billion deal. He also changed the logo to X replacing the blue bird, a week ago.
Linda Yaccarino, chief executive of the San Francisco based company said in a tweet that, the motive behind changing the logo is focused on rebranding as well as to create wider inclusivity of content including audio, messaging and payments.
This latest change of the company name to X was not well received by some users, as well as by the San Francisco neighbourhood. There were complaints raised on the newly installed logo, stating it causes discomfort at night. Many users from the platform have also tweeted on the shift to X logo saying, the blue bird will be missed.
San Francisco is said to investigate the social media platform on the grounds of violating permit regulations with regard to its giant X logo. The city building department has registered 24 complaints raising concern on X’s structural safety and illumination, after the new logo was installed.
