Microsoft Rolls Out Wave 2 of 365 Copilot, Expands AI Tools to Boost Productivity
Global tech giant Microsoft is expanding its AI-driven productivity tools with the rollout of Wave 2 for Microsoft 365 Copilot. It offers organisations of all sizes new capabilities to enhance productivity and collaboration.
As part of the new updates, Microsoft introduced Copilot Pages, a dynamic tool in Copilot chat that allows multiple users to collaborate with AI in real-time. Teams can edit, share, and build on insights gathered from Copilot, transforming them into actionable documents.
Also, Microsoft rolled out updates for several Microsoft 365 apps, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook, all enhanced with AI functionality like data analysis, email prioritisation, and automated slide generation.
Microsoft 365 Copilot, launched 18 months ago, has rapidly evolved through direct customer engagement and feedback, resulting in over 700 updates and 150 new features. The introduction of Copilot Agents, AI-driven assistants designed to automate business processes, marks a significant advancement.
“It’s been just 18 months since we launched Microsoft 365 Copilot,” said Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President, AI at work, Microsoft. “In that time, we’ve been more deeply engaged with our customers than ever before – in what’s become the world’s best feedback loop for AI,” he added.
With Wave 2 of Microsoft 365 Copilot, the company continues its mission to support organisations in customising AI solutions tailored to their specific business needs. Microsoft plans to reveal more updates in the coming months as part of its broader strategy to drive AI adoption and innovation across industries.
