Global tech giant Microsoft signed a five-year partnership with Coca-Cola, to enhance the beverage company’s technology strategy with the adoption of its generative AI and cloud infrastructure.
Various enterprises across the globe have been pacing up to introduce generative AI and the latest cloud technology in their workstations to ease the flow of tasks carried out and address the challenges in meeting the diverse needs of consumers.
From automobile firms such as BMW Group’s partnership with Tata Technologies to ServiceNow and NVIDIA’s collaboration, companies from varied sectors have been looking to work with tech companies offering Gen AI solutions to enhance their services.
Microsoft said the Fanta owner has invested $1.1 billion into its ongoing technology transformation, strengthened by Microsoft Cloud as Coca-Cola’s globally preferred and strategic cloud and AI platform, as well as solutions such as Microsoft 365, Power BI and Dynamics 365 to enhance efficiency and scalability of the beverage company.
“Our partnership with Microsoft has grown exponentially, from the $250 million agreement we initially announced in 2020 to $1.1 billion today,” said John Murphy, Chief Financial Officer of Coca-Cola.
“We are proud to support Coca-Cola as it continues to embrace the era of AI and looks to solutions like Azure OpenAI Service and Copilot for Microsoft 365 to drive innovation across every area of its business,” said Judson Althoff, Chief Commercial Officer at Microsoft.
