The technology consulting firm LTIMindtree on Wednesday launched Quantum-Safe Virtual Private Network (VPN) with the collaboration of Quantum Xchange and Fortinet, cybersecurity providers, in London.
Information Technology consultant LTIMindtree said the aim of the new launch is to work towards the era of quantum-secure communications and protect information of its clients.
The firm said, the collaboration looks to integrate Quantum Xchange’s quantum hardware and software that enable the generation, distribution, and management of quantum keys along with Fortinet’s FortiGate firewall which provides VPN functionality that integrates quantum-safe keys with standards-based VPN protocols.
LTIMindtree said its new launch Quantum-Safe VPN features practical application of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) within a live network, using quantum-based key generation and out-of-band key delivery, which is secured by Post-Quantum Cryptography algorithms that are on track for standardization by NIST, thereby bolstering the security and integrity of encrypted data.
Quantum-Safe VPN setup serves as a robotic testbed, fostering industry-specific solution development and providing customers with opportunities to collaboratively create prototypes and pilots aligned with their respective industries, leveraging this sophisticated infrastructure, said LTIMindtree.
“Our quantum-based key generation and management solutions, combined with LTIMindtree’s integration expertise and Fortinet’s VPN devices, provide a robust and secure communication infrastructure that offers stronger data security today is ready for the quantum era,” said the executive chief of Quantum Xchange, Eddy Zervigon.
