Steel company Jindal South West (JSW) Steel appointed Robert Simon as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company’s division in the USA on Wednesday.
The company said Simon will lead the overall business comprising slab, coil, pipe, and plate production as well as sales at Baytown and Mingo Junction. He, most recently, worked with Buffalo Builders and Conscience in senior positions for over four years collectively.
The newly appointed CEO, also, worked with Bayou Steel Group as Executive Chief for nearly two years. He is a highly experienced operations executive with an ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to new levels of performance.
Simon is taking over the role from the former CEO Mark Bush, who stepped down in 2022. Bush joined the company in 2020 and worked with JSW Steel USA for over two years. Later, he joined the mining firm Steel Plate as Operating Chief in April 2023.
Headquartered in Baytown, Texas, USA, JSW Steel was founded in 2007, which provides services like shipyards, oilfield fabricators, heavy equipment producers, machinery makers, global energy and petrochemicals industry, and steel.
