Michigan-based Isabella Bank Corp said it appointed insider Jerome Schwind as Chief Executive Officer on Tuesday, replacing Jae Evans. Schwind took over his new role on January 5.
Schwind has been with the firm since 1999, serving in various leadership roles, contributing to the growth and development of the bank. He, most recently, served as Bank President for nearly a decade, before which, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of the bank.
Neil McDonnell, Financial Chief of the company will succeed as President of the bank after Schwind. He has been the CFO of the company, since 2018. McDonnell has about 30 years of banking experience and has served in various leadership roles.
The retiring Executive Chief, Evans has been with the firm since 2014, leveraging nearly five decades of banking experience, as a member of the board of the corporate and the bank. Before retirement, Evans worked as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation for about a decade and as Chief Executive Officer of the Bank for six years.
Isabella Bank Corp’s subsidiary, Isabella Bank is a state-chartered community bank. Established in 1903 offers personal and commercial lending and deposit products, as well as investment, trust, and estate planning services to its customers. The bank has 31 locations throughout eight Mid-Michigan counties.
