Market Research firm Ipsos named insider Ziad Issa to take over as Media Chief Executive for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region on Wednesday, effective immediately.
Issa will succeed Elie Aoun, 53 years, who has held the position of Media CEO of the firm since February 2014, in the MENA region. Aoun began his career with the company and has worked with the firm for about 32 years in all.
Issa has also initiated his work experience with Ipsos, headquartered in Paris, France, and has been with the firm for over two decades. He has held various leadership roles with the company, most recently, Issa served as Chief Media Officer since November 2022.
“As someone who has proudly chosen Ipsos as my second home for the past two decades, prioritizing our clients’ needs has always been my priority,” said Ziad Issa and added, “I am dedicated to delivering exceptional service by embracing the dynamic changes within the media landscape.”
Aoun took to LinkedIn saying that he has decided to step down from his role and that the decision was very tough and personal. “I was planning it for the last 18 months, I just wanted to exploit a new life after Ipsos,” he continued.
The exiting CEO also shared, “I am very thankful to Ipsos, for being so generous to me, and for not giving me any reason to leave, and for making me partner at the company.”
