Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) Bank announced the launch of ‘SmartLock’ on Monday, a pioneering safety feature allowing customers to lock and unlock multiple banking services instantly through iMobile Pay, without needing assistance from customer care.
This innovative feature enables customers to secure Internet banking, UPI services, and credit and debit cards by simply clicking a button. ‘SmartLock’ also allows users to lock/unlock the entire iMobile Pay app. It has been scheduled standing instructions and E-mandates will still be processed even when services are locked.
ICICI Bank’s new feature aims to bolster account security and offers a do-it-yourself approach to managing banking safety. The bank has been proactive in implementing various safe banking initiatives to protect its customers from potential fraud.
“Safety of our customers’ accounts is of utmost importance to us. The launch of ‘SmartLock’ is yet another effort of the Bank to strengthen the safety and security of the customer’s accounts and safeguard their interest,” said Sidharatha Mishra, Head of Digital Channels at ICICI Bank.
Earlier this month, Adani One and ICICI Bank launched India’s first co-branded credit cards with airport-linked benefits in collaboration with Visa. Available in two variants – Adani One ICICI Bank Signature Credit Card and Adani One ICICI Bank Platinum Credit Card – they offer a comprehensive and substantial reward programme.
