Energy-centric digital media firm Hart Energy, on Wednesday, appointed Rich Eichler as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, where he will succeed John Hartig, the current CEO.
Eichler has been working with the company for almost four decades taking up leadership roles including Advisor and Chairman. Also, he was the CEO of Hart Energy for 17 consecutive years and is returning to the helm to ensure growth in the company’s industry-leading media and event franchises.
The newly appointed CEO said, “As disruptive as digital technologies, pandemic effects and the growing impact of energy transitions have been for the energy media sector, it’s clear that oil and gas will continue to play vital roles in America’s energy independence.”
Hartig has been with the company as the CEO for two years. Prior to which, he worked as Managing Director at Alvarez & Marsal, a business consulting service provider.
Hartig said, “I’m extremely fortunate to have been able to lead this amazing brand and its strong team. Helping reimagine Hart Energy’s portfolio and make its digital franchise a daily go-to destination for news, data and analysis has been very rewarding.”
The company based in Houston, Texas was established in 1973, offering research data and industry information in relation to the global energy sector. The company also hosts energy events and conferences in various regions for professional audiences. It also produces content regarding exploration, drilling and production technologies as well as business opportunities and financial issues.
