DKM Consult Brings Robotics to Revolutionize India

Civil engineering consultancy DKM Consult, on Tuesday, bought the combined expertise of three Singapore companies RaSpect AI, WaveScan and SquareDog Robotics to advance robotic inspection technology for the existing infrastructure in India.

In order to introduce its AI drone inspection technology to the Indian market, DKM most recently, partnered with RaSpect AI.

DKM said with the use of RaSpect’s solutions, it can perform thorough condition surveys of infrastructure, collect important data for analysis powered by AI that can automatically identify major and critical defects like corrosion, cracks, and spalling, visualize the data, and produce in-depth reports.

“We are excited to introduce the combined power of AI/software, robotics, and microwave scanning technology and offer comprehensive and robust solutions for faster, more accurate, and cost-effective inspections in India,” said SohamParija, Chief Operating Officer of DKM Consult.

The construction industry is greatly impacted by the application of cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, automation, and the Internet of Things (IoT). For example, robotic arms designed for automated construction can precisely perform repetitive tasks like welding, pouring concrete, and bricklaying.

According to a McKinsey analysis, the use of robots in construction can save overall project costs by 20% by increasing productivity and reducing rework.

DKM Consult, a construction firm, was founded in 2011 and is headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It specializes in consulting services for civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, materials, testing, and quality control.
