Government entity Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) equipped its workforce with the most recently introduced Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Security Copilot on Sunday, becoming one of the first UAE government entities to adopt the innovation of the tech giant.
DEWA said this incorporation is to utilize innovation and technology to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality. DEWA is the sole provider of electricity and water services in Dubai.
Copilot is a generative Artificial Intelligence powered by tech giant Microsoft. The firm said with Copilot the employee experience, facilitates the performance of their tasks, automates workflow, and strengthens cooperation between work teams, in addition to saving effort and time.
The features can be tailored according to individual employees for smooth operation said the Electricity and Water Authority, it also aligns with the highest standards of privacy and security followed by DEWA as it implements AI service protection technologies, said the government body.
“We utilize innovation and the latest technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to achieve our vision to become a globally leading sustainable innovative corporation committed to achieving net zero by 2050,” said His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chief Executive of DEWA.
Designed for everyday use, Copilot is an AI assistant powered by Large Language Models (LLMs) offering innovative solutions across the Microsoft Cloud. Microsoft early this year Copilot key in the keyboard of Windows 11 personal computers to seamlessly access AI and simplify as well as amplify the computing experience to the users.
