CEO Sanjay Shah Succumbs to Injuries from Event Mishap, Vistex Mourns

Software firm Vistex, on Monday, said the company is mourning the loss of its Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sanjay Shah, who passed away due to severe injuries from an accident.

The company confirmed in a statement on Monday that Shah along with Raju Datla, President of Vistex, were seriously injured in an accident that occurred at a company event on January 18, 2024. The event involved a celebration with the employees of its silver jubilee at Ramoji Film City (RFC), Hyderabad, India. 

Sanjay Shah is also the chief architect of the tech company. He also founded the Vistex Foundation and the Vistex Institute for Executive Learning and Research at Lehigh University.

The Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based company said the executive chief, previously worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and General Motors and later shifted to serve at global software giant SAP.

Vistex also confirmed Datla, who has been with the firm for over two decades, is still in recovery at the hospital. The company conveyed its condolences to Shah’s family and all those who knew him in both professional and personal capacities.
