Real estate investment trust Brixmor Property Group, on Thursday, said Angela Aman, chief financial officer of the company will step down from her role, effective January 19, 2024.
The company said Aman resigned her position as CFO in order to take over as chief executive officer at peer Kilroy Realty. Aman has been with Brixmor Property for nearly eight years. Prior to this, she also assumed various leadership roles in other retail companies for nearly five years.
Steven Gallagher, senior vice president of Brixmor Property will serve as interim financial chief, said the company, while it evaluates both internal and external candidates.
James Taylor, chief executive officer at Brixmor Property said, Angela has been a trusted and valuable partner as she, along with the team transformed the company and built a best-in-class platform.
In late September, the company named Brian Finnegan, former chief revenue officer to take over as operating chief, to oversee its construction and property management functions.
The New York-based company is a real estate investment firm that owns and operates open-air shopping centers. Brixmor is also a real estate partner to over 5,000 retailers including TJX, Kroger, Publix Super Markets, and Ross Stores.
