Basware with Microsoft to Launch AskMary, Enhances Customer Support with ChatGPT
Cloud-based firm Basware teamed up with tech Giant Microsoft and Zure to launch AskMary, a generative AI tool on Monday. This AI tool, the company said, uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI ChatGPT, with an aim to provide Basware’s customer support team to deliver accurate and fast support system.
The tech firm also said AskMary integrates ChatGPT to help Basware draft tailored responses to customer inquiries, consuming less time on the run. The tool works by Basware’s customer support team inputting customer inquiries via ‘prompts’ within the AskMary platform said the firm.
Basware said this collaboration will allow the firm to leverage ChatGPT technology through Microsoft Azure’s OpenAI service within its own Microsoft Azure environment as well as ensure the highest level of customer data security.
The accounts payable (AP) automation company said the AI tool is named after communication expert Mary Gober, who developed renowned methodologies around customer and service satisfaction. Basware said AskMary features include enhanced communication with clear, consistent, and timely responses to customers, while it will operate within Microsoft Azure data security.
Finland-based Basware said it requires human input to create customer responses, which are then refined and sent to customers. AskMary is easy to access via the app within Basware’s Microsoft Teams platform, increasing efficiency and reliability for its customer support function, said the firm.
In early October, Basware acquired Glantus, AP automation and analytics solutions firm, where it brought together two forces in AI-driven AP automation and financial technology.
