Fintech company Airtel Payments Bank, on Monday, launched National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC), eco-friendly debit and prepaid cards, in collaboration with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) powered by RuPay.
NCMC offers a unified payment system for accessing various types of commuting services including metro, rail, parkingand bus.The bank said it offers these interoperable cards for its savings account holders and NCMC-enabled pre-paid cards for its wallet customers.
The cardholders can make safe, secure, and contactless payments at any merchant locationin India, which includes online and offline NCMC transportation transactions, said the firm.
The financial service provider said the cards are made of eco-friendly e-PVC material, which is certified for its environmental sustainability. The fintech company said the launch aligns with the bank’s commitment to India’s One Nation, One Card objective
