ADBWC Signs MoU with Takalam to Empower Women Entrepreneur

Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBWC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with consultation provider Takalam, on Tuesday, with an aim to advance the role of women in private sector and enhance their contribution in sustainable development in Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The women council is an affiliate of the non-profit organization Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI). The council focuses on raising women’s awareness in business as a professional and for active participation in economic development additionally the platform, also seeks to provide professional counselling through digital platform.

The deal was signed by Fatima Helal Al Blooshi, director of ADBWC and Khawla Hammad, chief executive of Takalam in the presence of Inas Shashieh, Takalam’s operating chief, along with a number of Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council members, and representatives present from both sides.

The women council said the partnership intends to improve cooperation and coordination between the both parties by introducing council members, about service provided by Takalam and encouraging to access the services.

The council also added, members will be benefited with a 15% discount on all AI powered platform’s services, while also organizing events, seminar and awareness workshops targeting female entrepreneurs.

Al Blooshi said, “We are pleased to cooperate with Takalam, which provides mental healthcare and creates a positive social impact to benefit the society.”

“This comes in line with our commitment to enhance women’s capabilities, develop their skills, enable them to be an active member in the society, and contribute to the country’s sustainable economic development,” she added.

Hammad said, “Empowering businesswomen begins with nurturing their mental well-being. A strong mind leads to confident decisions, resilience in the face of challenges, and innovative strategies that drive success,” and she said, “We take pride in our collaboration with ADBWC, viewing it as the beginning of many initiatives through which we aim to create a positive and lasting impact.”
