Dareesoft Completes Successful Road Hazard Detection PoC in Dubai, Eyes Middle East Expansion
South Korean-based Tech Company Dareesoft Inc., has completed a proof of concept (PoC) for its RiaaS (Road Hazard Information as a Service) solution in Dubai, detecting over 2,000 road hazards. The achievement marks a significant step for the South Korean company as it prepares to expand its sales network across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait.
The RiaaS solution integrates AI-powered devices installed in vehicles to detect and share real-time data on 12 types of road hazards, including potholes, cracks, and fallen objects. The system’s versatility makes it applicable in road maintenance, smart city projects, navigation services, and insurance industries, enhancing safety for drivers and pedestrians.
Founded in 2020, Dareesoft has positioned itself as a global leader in road safety technology, holding 12 key patents and dedicating 70% of its workforce to R&D. Its RiaaS service has already been implemented by local governments in South Korea, including Seoul, to reduce traffic accidents and improve pedestrian safety. The Dubai PoC demonstrates the scalability of its AIoT and big data-driven solutions for broader applications in the Middle East.
