Video conferencing service provider Zoom Video Communications, on Monday, launched Zoom Workplace, an artificial intelligence (AI) incorporated open collaboration platform, to provide users with an all-in-one AI-powered experience as well as reimaging teamwork to power advanced work.
The firm said Zoom Workplace will include AI Companion features for Zoom Phone and extended capabilities with Ask AI Companion.
Along with the launch of Zoom Workplace, the company collaborated with IT services and IT consulting provider Avaya to integrate with Avaya’s Communication and Collaboration Suite, providing customers with a novel streamlined way to manage their communications environments and workflows.
Zoom has announced about 40 new updates, which consist of Zoom AI Companion features for Zoom Phone, Team Chat, Events, and Contact Center, as well as Ask AI Companion offering a new way to interact with AI Companion across its platform.
The Zoom Workplace is also available in AWS Marketplace, a digital catalogue of software listings from independent software vendors and is deployed in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The California-based firm said Ask AI Companion gathers, synthesizes, and shares information from Zoom Meetings, Mail, Team Chat, Notes, and Docs to help users enhance productivity and be better prepared for their workday.
AI Companion is built into Zoom Phone, where users can request a post-call summary rather than taking notes, said Zoom. Additionally, the company features voicemail to help elevate urgent messages, voicemail task extraction delivers tasks from voicemails to help users understand the next steps without listening to every voicemail.
