Multinational engineering research provider L&T Technology Services (LTTS) collaborated with semiconductor manufacturing Intel on Tuesday, with an aim to create and provide scalable edge-AI solutions for a variety of use cases, including cellular vehicle-to-everything (CV2X) applications.
The company said it experience in linked vehicles and smart transportation systems has been critical in the development and deployment of advanced communication technologies including telematics, ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems), and C2VX.
LTTS uses Intel’s Edge Platform and OpenVINO inference to optimize real-time AI inferencing for traffic control and emergency safety in smart cities and transportation, added the Larsen & Toubro-owned company.
LTTS also said this collaboration demonstrates LTTS’ dedication to pushing boundaries of smart cities and road infrastructure, supporting and creating the framework for the implementation of intelligent transportation systems.
Intel’s new edge-native commercial software platform enables enterprises to build, deploy, run, manage, and scale edge and AI solutions on standard hardware with cloud-like simplicity to accelerate edge AI development while reducing costs.
“The collaboration with LTTS on Intel’s Edge Platform will simplify the exchange of critical information and streamline infrastructure management to improve results and lower TCO for customers, ” said Pallavi Mahajan, Intel Corporate Vice President.
A week ago, LTTS partnered with AT&T to curb global emissions by developing combined advanced solutions that can significantly reduce environmental impact.
