Automotive Cybersecurity firm Autocrypt partnered with Hitachi Solutions to provide joint offerings, consulting services covering V2X, in-vehicle systems security to Japanese automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier suppliers, on Thursday.
The mobility security provider said validation of the partnership denotes continued success of past projects, and looks to further expand the scope of collaboration beyond V2X to embedded vehicular systems.
Autocrypt’s systems security solution helps OEMs exceed cybersecurity requirements with open-source licence management, fuzzing, penetration testing, and threat mitigation, while Hitachi offers a range of compliance consulting that covers all facets of vehicle production, the company added.
Daniel Kim, chief executive of Autocrypt stated, “Through this partnership with Hitachi Solutions, we are excited to offer a more comprehensive V2X and in-vehicle systems security solution with an enhanced support network for our existing and potential clients in Japan.”
Autocrypt said its goal is not restricted to helping clients stay secure and compliant, but to also maximise productivity by streamlining cybersecurity engineering into the production process.
Seoul-based Autocrypt was a part of Penta Security Systems, began in 2007 as the automotive security division. It was spun off in 2019 as it grew globally to be autonomous and connected mobility security technologies.
The company is an advanced firewall that protects the internal system of vehicles by detecting malicious or abnormal traffic and securely managing encryption.
