GFT Collaborates with Engine by Starling for Bank Digitalization 

Baden-Württemberg-based GFT technology joined forces with Starling Bank, a London-based financial institute on Monday. The firm said the collaboration will serve as implementation partner for Starling Bank’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business, Engine by Starling.

Engine by Starling is a digital banking service platform, providing banks with access to the cloud native, modular and application programing interface (API) based banking platform initially built by Starling’s own in-house tech team to run Starling Bank, said GFT.

Engine is now available to banks around the globe, as the firm’s recent clients Romania-based Salt Bank and Australia-based AMP Bank.

“As Starling disrupted the UK banking sector, Engine’s mission is to empower our clients to do the same in their markets,” said Sam Everington, chief executive of Engine by Starling and continued, “GFT’s global footprint makes them an ideal partner as we scale.”
