A photovoltaic power generation solution platform JA Solar Technology Co partnered with Bangladeshi energy group Paramount Group on Sunday, to provide photovoltaic (PV) module, generally known as solar panels, for a 1500 megawatt (MG) PV power plant project. This project is expected to complete by the end of this year.
Upon completion, JA Solar Tech said this module will be the largest PV power plant in Bangladesh in 2023. The solar development company mainly focuses on designing, developing, manufacturing, while it also sells solar cell and solar module products.
The Dhaka-based firm, Paramount Group is known to focus on infrastructure, technology and dynamic product innovation. It has various other subsidiary firms including Paramount Textile, Paramount Energy, Paramount Insurance, Paramount Agro, Paramount Holdings, Paramount Spinning, Sunrise Chemical and Foodex International.
“As a leading PV company, JA Solar has won a good reputation worldwide for its excellent technical strength and product quality,” said Shakhawat Hossain, chairman of Paramount Group and added, “We look forward to working together to promote the development of Bangladesh’s PV market through the signing of this agreement.”
Daniel Li, sales director of Southeast Asia in JA Solar said, “We hope that the cooperation between JA Solar and Paramount Group will promote the popularization and application of PV in Bangladesh and create more value for the Bangladeshi PV market.”
