Goldman Sachs invests in Ulu Ventures under its Launch with GS Initiative

The American investment bank, Goldman Sachs Invests in Ulu Ventures under its Launch with GS Initiative.

Launch with GS is a $1 billion investment strategy of the firm which is grounded to data-driven thesis that helps teams drive strong returns.

Goldman Sachs has also announced that it has committed an additional $500 million to invest in diverse business and funds through launch With GS, doubling its original commitment for a total of $1. billion.

Since the “Launch with GS” program which was introduced in the year 2018, the firm has deployed more than $450 million across companies and managers with diverse management teams.

The Head of Launch With GS, Suzanne Gauron said:

“Our investment in Ulu Ventures furthers our shared goal to increase access to capital and facilitate connections for women, Black, Latinx and other diverse entrepreneurs,”

She also added that Ulu is a great example of Goldman Sachs thesis that team outperform because of their perspectives and experiences

The Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Miriam Rivera said:

“Ulu has created a data-driven, disciplined investment process designed to manage risk, produce top-tier financial returns, and reduce cognitive bias,”

“Launch with GS, and its investments in underrepresented minority-led funds like Ulu, bring capital, energy, and support to the vibrant community of diverse founders.”
